Bloomfield Police Department
The Bloomfield Police Department serves as the primary law enforcement agency for the citizens, business people and visitors to the Town of Bloomfield. The department also serves as the Town's Department of Emergency Management, Local Traffic Authority, and administrative oversight of Bloomfield's Volunteer Ambulance Association.
Services are provided through four Divisions, three of which are commanded by Police Lieutenants, and the fourth commanded by a Director. The department also participates in shared policing services with area police agencies, including Emergency Services, Fatal Accident Investigations, Hostage Negotiations, Major Crime Investigations, and traffic enforcement.
