The Tax Assessor's Office duties include:
- Discover, list, and value all property within the Town of Bloomfield. The three classes of property are real estate, business and personal property, and motor vehicles. All property is taxed at 70% of its fair market value.
- Provides data to a wide variety of internal and external customers
- Administer a variety of tax relief programs for the elderly homeowner, veterans, totally disabled and the blind who meet certain requirements.

The next revaluation is scheduled for October 1, 2014. New construction assessments should be verified with the Assessor's Office, as this database may reflect partial values. The database is updated weekly.
The Town encourages its residents to review our data and contact us if any discrepancies are found. Accurate property data results in fair assessments for all taxpayers in Bloomfield.
Property owners who prefer not to have their names available online may request to have the information suppressed from the online database. Requests must be submitted in writing to the Assessor's Office. Once the request is received, your information will be removed upon the next available update. Property information will still be available in the database but names will be withheld.
